Job Description

Facilitate Reconciliation: Your primary duty is to help parties in matrimonial disputes (like divorce or separation) reach an amicable settlement or reconciliation.
Conduct Mediation Sessions: You will lead private counseling sessions to identify the root causes of disputes and suggest ways to resolve them without further litigation.
Investigate Home Conditions: When directed by the Judge, you must visit the homes of the parties to observe their living environment and family dynamics.
Child Custody Welfare: You act as a neutral observer to determine the best interests of any children involved, providing recommendations on custody and visitation rights.
Submit Status Reports: You are required to submit detailed, confidential reports to the Court regarding the progress of counseling and the likelihood of a settlement.
Assess Financial Status: In cases involving maintenance (Alimony), you may be asked to verify the income and standard of living of both parties to help the court fix a fair amount.
Emotional Support: You provide psychological support to distressed litigants, helping them manage the emotional trauma of court proceedings.
Advisory Role to the Judge: You assist the Judge by providing specialized insights into the social and psychological aspects of a case that go beyond strict legal technicalities.
