Qualification

M.Sc. in Chemistry (Physical or Inorganic in specialization) / Materials Science / Nanoscience from a recognised university, B.E. / B.Tech in Ceramic / Metallurgy & Materials Engineering / Material Science / Nanoscience and Technology / Chemical Engineering from a recognized university or equivalent.

Job Description

1. Hands-On Experimental R&D
Material Synthesis & Processing: Synthesizing, formulating, and developing specialized glass, bioceramics, optical fibers, functional coatings, or membrane separation systems.
Batch Preparation: Preparing chemical compositions, handling high-temperature furnaces, sol-gel processing, or operating technical machinery like ceramic tape casters and extruders.
Routine Cleanroom / Lab Operations: Managing chemical handling, maintaining sterilization standards, and overseeing day-to-day bench-level experiments under the guidance of the Principal Investigator (PI).
2. Characterization & Data Analysis
Equipment Operation: Operating specialized diagnostic instruments to analyze material properties (e.g., XRD, SEM, FTIR, UV-Vis spectrophotometers, or thermal analyzers).
Data Logging: Maintaining precise, auditable laboratory notebooks, compiling raw experimental datasets, and plotting analytical graphs using software like Origin or MATLAB.
