Job Description

Project Focus: You will work on a high-impact study titled "Overcoming chemotherapeutic resistance in colon cancer by gut microbial metabolites" under the Department of Surgical Oncology.
Core Educational Requirement: A Master’s Degree (M.Sc.) in any branch of Life Sciences with a minimum of 55% marks is mandatory.
Preferred Certifications: Candidates who have cleared CSIR-UGC NET (including LS) or GATE are highly preferred and may receive higher priority during shortlisting.
Technical Skills: You are expected to have hands-on experience in Molecular Biology techniques (such as PCR, cell culture, or metabolite analysis) to support lab experiments.
Long-term Tenure: The position is temporary but offers stability for the duration of the project, which is scheduled to run until March 2029.
Competitive Pay: The role offers a consolidated monthly stipend ranging from ₹31,000 to ₹34,100, depending on your qualifications and experience.
Age Criteria: The upper age limit is 28 years, though standard government relaxations apply for SC/ST/OBC, Women, and PWD candidates.
Direct Reporting: You will work directly under the guidance of the Principal Investigator (PI), Dr. Sweta Ghosh, at the Hazra Campus in Kolkata.
